Candle Care
Always trim the candle wick to the appropriate length after removing your wax melts. The general rule is to cut the wick to a quarter-inch. If you notice black soot accumulating on your jar, it indicates that the wick is too long and requires trimming. However, be cautious not to trim the wick too short; otherwise, the melted wax may extinguish the flame when the candle is lit, causing it to glow instead of burn. When lighting your candle for the first time, ensure you allow the wax to melt completely to the edges. The wax retains a memory and will only burn to the extent of the initial melt, which can lead to tunnelling.
